VICELAND - A TV CHANNEL

VICELAND is the TV channel that goes where you shouldn't go to get the stories you can't get. It's a look at the niche pockets of life and interesting cultures.

Tag: We get the stories because we've lived the stories.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

It’s those people with a rough past that have the most interesting stories to share. VICELAND's Inside Story program provides sponsored writing and journalism courses for inmates.

NEW VOICES AND UNTAPPED STORIES

It provides ways for inmates to channel their energy while doing time, help them work through their experiences, and give them a usable skill for when they get out.

Exceptional writers and stories created through the program will be featured on VICELAND.

SOCIAL

VICELAND LIVE is a social feature added to the VICELAND app. This new function allows users to submit video footage to VICELAND and share stories from the ground during major events.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW CONTENT

The best video will be edited together and streamed on VICELAND social media platforms with commentary from VICELAND hosts and personalities.

VIRTUAL REALITY ACTIVATION

VLND VR is not pretty dolphins and nature. It's an immersive look at some of the heart-pounding and dangerous stories featured on VICELAND.

 COLLEGE KIDS ON RUMBLING PLATFORMS

Popping up on college campuses allows students a chance to step inside issues they care about in more authentic ways. Conducted on platforms that rumble and move, VLND VR is a heightened experience that makes viewers feel like they are truly there.

VR Story Line: "Illegally Crossing the US-Mexico Border"

"Experience fear, hope, and endless determination as you join a group of illegal immigrants braving the dangerous journey across the US - Mexico border."

The experience would take stories that are often reported on but rarely experienced by the majority of the population, and put the viewer right in the middle of the action.  Storylines would be made by consulting individuals who have actually lived these events to create an authentic portrayal of the experience.
